Why 3D Printed? It's a Feature.
Printing lets us choose the material, build geometry a mould can't produce, and make one-off changes for a single customer. Three things worth having.
Polycarbonate is made with BPA. Flexible PVC needs phthalate plasticisers, typically 10 to 40 percent of the material by weight. Because those plasticisers are never chemically bonded to the polymer, they stay mobile and migrate out across the life of the part. We print in polylactic acid (PLA), a bioplastic made from renewable plant starch, containing neither.
Specifically, Bambu Lab PLA Pure — five published ingredients and no plasticiser of any kind. Independent SGS testing of printed samples under EU Regulation 10/2011 found no detectable migration in any of the four food simulants, including 3% acetic acid at 70°C.
What a 2026 Australian study foundSome of our designs simply can't be injection molded; they're too complex. Our Stevenson screen sensor housings, with their dual-layer louvre system, require a level of geometric detail that only 3D printing can achieve.
Need a custom mounting bracket? Different cable routing? An enclosure sized for your specific setup? We do bespoke builds quickly and affordably. Injection moulding can't — once the steel tooling is cut, every part comes out identical for the life of the mould.
